Adam Robson 1912-2012

It is with great sadness and regret that we have to report the death of our good friend, and Gateshead FC's longest supporter, Adam Robson, who passed away early this morning, Wednesday 15th August.

Adam was a true fan who supported his club over 8 decades. He witnessed Gateshead's first ever game back in 1930, and continued supporting us through good times and bad, sunshine and showers, and in this time he made a lot of good friends and acquaintances who will miss him dearly.

Adam was an honourary member of the Supporters Club and, as usual, was present at last nights game, a 4-1 victory over Mansfield, and he took his place as our guest in the corporate lounge.

Gateshead FC can proudly boast that we had one of the oldest and most loyal fans in the country, and he will be sadly missed by all.

Our thoughts and sympathies go out to his family at this sad time. R.I.P.

Malcolm has asked to let everyone know that Adam's Funeral is on Tuesday 21st August 2012.

St Andrew's Church Fewster Square at 1.15pm

Saltwell Crematorium at 2.00pm for the committal.

Then all guests are welcome back at Leam Lane Social Club afterwards.
